The traffic in Black Africa

Many white tourists said to me, it's a terrible traffic here and nobody would drive a car. I said, the Indian traffic is the most terrible and this here is normal. The poeple set correctly the indicators. Nobody stood in the middle of the road. And the most brake lights also in function. The most driver take note of the right of way. It's easy to drive here.

But a traffic exist only in the towns. Outside, of the highways, I was alone on the road. Nobody came on the other road side. And only in some times a must overtook a truck. Apparent maximum 10 cars drive on the road through the bush to Dodoma. And when 2 truck stay in the mud then is finish for the traffic on this road. Then is the road total empty.

But some cars have a dangerous condition. I saw a bus, he drove with the front wheels middle on the road and the back wheels was on the verge. The body work of full matatus apparent to lay on the wheels. And when the matatus crossed a hole, I thought the car will drop.

The last 3000 km was a heavy time for my car. I lost my car number. I had the next puncture. I lost the glass of the left indicator. I hadn't enough brake fluid and must changed it. Also I must changed  the sparking plugs and the air filter. And sympathetic full squeak the Samurai on good roads also. He need a inspection.

My new car number

My new car number I painted with white oil colour on the bumper. You can read the story on the Malawi sites - drive without car number.
