Victoria Falls I arrived Livingstone in the noon. In great letter I could read - Livingstone - The capital of tourism. The Victoria Falls are this attraction of Zambia. But the greatest part is in Zimbabwe. The border is in the middle of the Zambesi. Only the forth part of the falls is in Zambia. But this is enough.

Livingstone is a little town and only the Victoria Falls gave it a great name. From the far I saw much clouds over Livingstone. Now I saw, there are the Victoria Falls.

US $ 3 was the fee. I got my camera and went in the very green bush. Rain forest. And in the near I heard this rush of the falls. It came the first views at the Victoria Falls. In a wide of 1,7 km fall the water of the Zambesi in about 100 m in a gorge. 550.000 qm in every minute. In the March to May 5.500.000 qm. Crazy.

You could get capes against the water, but I though so heavy it can't be. I crossed a wet forest, water came down of the trees. And out side of the trees, I saw the falls and stood in the rain. The water hurl in a 200 m wide gorge and the thermo and the wind brought back the water as rain. Some time is all dry and one second later you stay in the rain. In a heavy rain.  I stood in a rain cloud and sometimes in a fog.

I tried my best. I don't know the Niagara falls, but I think, there are staying not so in the near and so not in the rain and wet fog. But this is also great only not the best place for a long time.

Next - explore Botswana
