At the February 22nd I started from Lilongwe to
explore Zambia. Fill the car with petrol and my food box with fresh
vegetables and other things of my last money. I went fast over the border. Visa US$ 25 and the insurance for the car cost US $ 40. In Chipata I changed money and I had a longer small talk with a white citizen So I got some information's about the road and the next petrol stations. The next will e come in 320 km. |

| Luangwa River | My finish today. From the dutch biker Jan and Mark I knew, there is a camp side. Cheap and good. The landscape was the same as in Tanzania. Hilly. Many green. Bush and forest. Small villages. And apparent nobody in the near. A people less area. The twilight was come and I arrived the Luangwa River. Now the last policecheckpost. Small talk and the policeman said, he is hungry. I smiled and said I'm also and went to the camp and with a great hunger I cooked the spaghettis, my dream of the last kilometer. | |

Lusaka |
It's rain time here and so I drove behind the rain clouds. Then trough the rain and in the sun to the next cloud of rain. On the horizon I saw every time flashes of lightning. And also in the night only one rain. The next day I drove to Lusaka. Police check and they asked me - Where is the warning triangle. I had it. The 10 Mark of Malawi for the warning triangle was not so stupid. But they went around my jeep and looking for, and looking for, for what I was think. And they found something - I hadn't on the front and backside a plastic reflector. But I could drive away and should buy this in Lusaka. But I hadn't enjoy to stop in Lusaka. To much stories I heard about the criminal rate in the Cairo Road. And so I crossed Lusaka. Only my Samurai got fresh and expensive petrol. In the bush I would stay in this night. But either the road was full or I couldn't go in the bush. So I came a short time before the darkness to Batoka. I found a cheap lodge (10.000 Kw) and a nice hut. This was the right place for me.
