Epupa Falls on the Kunene River I left  Sesfontein and went in the direction of Opuwo. The landscape isn't so wide and I steered my single fighter (the Samurai) over the bumpy road through a small valley up the pass and then over a green valley on a plateau.

Opuwo was the last large village. The dirt road will be dirtier and worst. For some poeple was 100 km later in Epembe finish. I must cross a river. A dry river. But it was very sandy and somebody had some problems and went back. Later I know, 2 groups finished there your trip today and couldn't arrive the camp in Epupa.  The next 70 km was slowly and a little difficult. Sometimes I swam in the sand and I'm happy, that's not for so a long time. Then about a short time the road was fast but behind the little hills you could see a curve steep down to left or right. Surprise, surprise. And so the way was a little bit longer as I had thought. The safety speed was 40 and the maximum. And every time stood outside of the road this small himbahuts and the Himbas yourself. Later I found out that the Himbas would like get a picture date. The second job next to the breeding and a easy job by the tourists.

At the afternoon I arrived the Epupa Falls and stood in the Omarunga Camp. The people greeted in German und we had fast a small talk. Uwe, a East German from Halle, is the manager and stood in Namibia for some years. He works normality on a farm, but just in this camp at the Epupa Falls  since 4 month and would like stay here a longer time. It's a nice place.

At the evening we went in the village. Only some huts and a little supermarket for some things and the necessary also for the "Tafel Lager beer". There we sat in the late night together with the Himbas and apparent without a finish. Permanent came a new 6-pack Tafelbeer.  A chieftain of the Himbas  came to me and greet me with peculiar handshakes. I asked Uwe, is this normal and he said - He just invented this. He is drunk. The chieftain checked me and apparent the Himbas laughed about me. It was true, the drunk chieftain said, you haven't a woman. And I don't know, which joke they done about me. The next day I met him again. I went by car and he ask me whatever. I didn't understand him, but I think he would like went by car with me. But he was drunk again and I hadn't enjoy of this trip. But Uwe said me later, yes he would like went by car in his village and I had got all thinks what I would like of him. Food, drinks, women  etc..

Well, this was the time after the Himbatour.
