Namib Naukluft In the South of Swakopmund lay The Namib Naukluft. Between Maltahöhe and Swakopmund is this landscape and apparent the changed every time your face. The light and the shadows of clouds play with this landscape, new views and new colors. I had luck to drove under the sun and could see this play between light and shadows.

The first direction is Walvis Bay. I got last petrol, only 3,5 l, but I was a little be afraid, where is next petrol station. A empty tank is angry and I'm happy, Pakistan was the only one time. But the second view on the map is the view, where are the petrol stations and how many kilometers are between it.

In the Namib Naukluft I came after Walvis Bay. Flat land, so wide my eyes saw. Only one sand and little rocks. Sometimes I saw a small grass and every time this big dust cloud behind me. Finest dust and no crack was to small for this dust. Especially to come in my car. In the evening I stood the second time in the dust cloud, when I cleaned my car. And blankets, include the rest of dust, for my head had the right feedback for a really dream of the lonley wide desert.

Then I saw the first mountains at the horizon after this flat and dusty kilometers. The Kuiseb Pass came. Now grew grass on  the plateau and I asked me, what they only need to live here in this dry and I saw also some trees. Akazien and the same.  Then I came in a valley. Some seconds I had shadow and protection of the hot desert sun. Here in the near fled two Namibian Germans in the 2. WWW in the desert. They hid 2 and a half year here, because some or all (I don't know) Germans must went in the time in a intern camp about the time of this war. The poeple here was be afraid about the Germans and so some Germans wished back the old time and saw the new change now. But this two mans hadn't enjoy of this camp and hid in the  Namib Naukluft and it is astonishment, it is possible to live here.

About Solitaire I drove to South to Sesriem. There I stood on the campsite for one night and saw the nice south African star sky in the darkness. Early in the morning, before the sunrise, I will start to

Sossusvlei.
