It's a long time this waiting time and so I went with a girl of the travel agency to Malindi. A little town on the Indian Ocean. More silence here as in Mombasa and not so much waste. |

| Malindi |
The ocean apparent to be red and not blue. The river Sabaki comes in the ocean here and bring the red earth from the inland region. And the waves of the ocean bring back this red earth. But Malindi isn't also waste free. And in some places will be burn the waste. Thick smoke between the houses. In one of the many pubs I was trunk a beer and took some pictures with telephoto lens. Curious the women with the big bum. In Mombasa I was on the fort Jesu, built of the Portuguese about 1600. Then I walked a little bit trough Old Mombasa. The feeling isn't the same as in Asia. I have thought I will observe every time. Step for step. The streets are the same of the most old towns. Little and narrow lanes. No place for a car. Open sewage channels. And between all - playing children and sitting men with many time. |
