| Ussher Fort in Accra |
Back in Accra I went in my
old hotel. The carnet wasn't present an I must wait to the noon at the next
day.
So I visited the Ussher Fort. I tryed it in the 4th time. Now was open. The history went back in the time of slave trade. The same as in Cape Coast. In this prison Ussher Fort was also the first president of Ghana - Kwarne Nkrumah - to the independence.

| to East |
I got back my carnet in the noon and so I went
in the east. It was coming the normal stop and go in Accra. But outside I
saw a other view of Ghana - flat and plan land. Not so much trees and more
meadows.
Then came the Volta River. In this near I will go in the north next day. A little bit upper of the river crossing is a big dam. I think it is the same as the Assuan dam in Egypt for Ghana. |

| Keta |
I went in then direction to
the Atlantic and arrived Keta. Keta lay between the Atlantic and the Keta
Lagune. I came to
Fort Prinzenstein and parked my
car. Now I stood at the Atlantic. And this near I could see the fort. The
water destroyed the fort and also other houses.

through Keta |
I asked to the way and a man said - there right and then along the foot prints. I didn't know it in the first time - foot prints? But then I saw it - road on the beach.
The strip between ocean and Lagune would narrow. It's curious, that stay houses here. The strip was in some parts only 200 or 300 m wide. I was a small afraid to get stuck in the sand. |

Well I reached the firm land again and I saw large muddy meadows. The day went to the finish. Twilight came and I was looked for a sleep place in the bush. But couldn't find it. So I arrived Ho in the night. Found a hotel and my cold beer. Tomorrow I will go in the North - between Volta Lake and Togo border to Larabanga.
