In my lodge I had my silence and rest.
I got breakfast. And the room wasn't so wet as my car in the last
nights.
I went sometimes trough the town. Gaborone is a big city in this area. Have 250.000 citizen, but I think, they count all poeple around 200 km. The character of the little villages disappear for a small place around the Mall. Gaborone, the capital of Botswana. But some meters outside of the Mall - the little village come back.

Really I would stay here about 2 days, but
the lodge was full. I was also fit and could cross the Kalahari to the
Namibia border. The first 100 km I saw some villages and later I was
alone again. I needed to the border the next 2 days. The nights I have
spent in the bush and I let me much time. I'm alone in the lonley
Kalahari under the hot sun. For me as German a nice feeling. This lonley
wide landscape. And I asked me - this is a desert? So much green here.
Grass. Trees. Well, it's dry here. But many life. It's a dry land strip
with many plants. I was waiting, when finished the bush, but it
didn't come this bush finish.
This was Botswana for me. Well, I didn't see the Okavango river, but I think this is not the best by car. Otherwise is Botswana a wide and flat land. Apparent without poeple. Many cattle's crossed my way. And it was difficult to see a variety. I started in a landscape in the morning and in the same landscape I arrived the evening. This easy life of the poeple in the countries before is here not so marked. I saw the little huts but also little houses of European style. But here in Botswana I could easy slept in my car. Every time I found a nice place out side of the road. 100 m in the bush and I stood in the nature and war alone.
