Cross through  Botswana

After the night in the Buffalo Ridge Camp and sunshine in the morning came clouds and a heavy rain. I stood at the gate to the Chobe park and said - it's stupid to visit the park today. So I went back the transit road, the road to Maun was a alternative, but not in the best condition, and I was a little be afraid, it is the same as in Tanzania. I hadn't enjoy of this. So I drove back in the direction of Kasane and then 300 km in the south to Nata. Only bush all along the time. All 100 km came a little village. Otherwise only lonley nature and this road. No poeple. Now and then a elephant and there prints of excrement on the road. I think, the road is the biggest elephant loo.

In the earlier afternoon came the sun back. I arrived Nata. Filled the car with petrol and me with a full chicken and rice.

Then it was the time to looking for a place to stay overnight. I drove some km to Francistown and then I went in the bush. But right and left I saw only fence and I didn't know, what can I do. Open a gate? I hoped, that the fence finished in some time. It didn't finish and apparent it is a fence with open end. So I tried it and open a gate. Found a nice place and stood there over the night. Soon came the rainy clouds back and with the darkness the rain was beginning.

In the midnight I was wet. Not the rain was the reason - I sweat and the sleep bag was very wet. Malaria was the first thought. My tablets finished in the January and I took only 2 tablets every week against the tropical malaria. I don't know - it is enough? But I bought in Kenya tablets for the emergency against all 3 malarias. I took 2 tablets and hoped of a better time.

Gaborone

In the morning I haven't the feeling for a better time and I drove to Francistown. It was rainy weather and this about all the day. I needed a malaria test and I got it in Francistown - result -negative. The woman said, this is only a cold. I true her.

To visit Francistown I hadn't enjoy in this rain and with my heavy head. But Francistown was the first larger town after the Zambia border. What is great - it is only one big street and this is the city. Only this is a other Africa flair. More European. The dresses of the poeple more of new fashion. Cleaner dresses. Only one in the near I could see, the shorts or the shirts has also a hole. But in the country before, I saw it of the far.

So I went back in the bush, was looking for a nice place and said me, I need one day silence and rest against my cold. In the late afternoon I got a shivering about a half hour and so I crept in my sleeping bag and hope of a better time as a day before.

But the space and the time to shift apparent in sometimes. A peculiar feeling and I was think in the next time I see me myself. And when I would like see me, then was finish and all was broken. It was giddy in my head. My head was turning and it is the same after a joint. But I was sober.

In the darkness was the rain about the night and in my car I had a stalactite cave. My sleeping bag was wet outside and also inside. Still the cold attacked me and I said me, it isn't possible this cold to cure on this place. I couldn't change my wet shirts in the night. It was to cold and wet in the jeep.

And so I drove to Gaborone and was looking for a Bed & Breakfast. The weather was better as in the North. The sun came back and it was warm. Better for me. I found a Lodge and now I could change my sweat shirts in the night. It was necessary in 4 time per night. All dresses was wet.

The next day I couldn't lay only one in the bed. I washed my dresses and wait of the healthy time.
